Natural Resources Intern 2005

Southern Maryland RC&D provided natural resource technical assistance to the Naval Support Facility Indian Head, Charles County, for the collection and analysis of biological data related to Indian Head's natural resource management program. Activities included biophysical sampling, treating sensitive natural areas for invasive species, bald eagle monitoring, environmental inspections of MILCON sites for sediment and erosion control requirements and general project support for the ongoing shoreline restoration project. The intern also fostered environmental education holding workshops attended by numerous base and community participants. This project is ongoing.
