Southern Maryland Heritage Area Consortium Support

Southern Maryland RC&D provided the Southern Maryland Heritage Area Consortium with $2,000 to support the production, printing and mailing of newsletters designed to promote heritage tourism and self-guided tours throughout Southern Maryland. Of particular importance was the promotion of the barn poster, a campaign designed to draw public and media attention to our quickly vanishing tobacco barns and pastoral character. A total of 1,000 brochures were distributed throughout Southern Maryland. The project was completed on March 23, 2006.
