Agritourism and Alternative Enterprise Development

Working closely with county tourism officials, Maryland Cooperative Extension and our farming community, Southern Maryland RC&D is seeking ways to make the adoption of agritourism and alternative enterprise operations more attainable for our farmers. By diversifying farm incomes, we hope to preserve Southern Maryland's unique agricultural character for future generations while creating jobs and stimulating local economies. Project components include outreach and education to county agents and the farmers they serve and the development and dissemination of promotional materials.
