Dry-Fire Hydrant Installation

Jan 8, 2007 - 6:34:43 PM

By providing a combination of planning and material support to our rural Volunteer Fire Departments, Southern Maryland RC&D is hoping to greatly enhance rural firefighting efficacy and lower insurance costs in our rural communities.  Southern Maryland RC&D has been able to provide hydrant fixtures, including heads, strainers and pipe, to our project partners through generous grants and resources from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and our county governments.  This project is ongoing.  For more information about how you can get a dry-hydrant in your community, please call RC&D Coordinator Jeremy West at (301) 932-4638.
