LandServer.org Assessment Tool Launched! Thanks to hard work at the Pinchot Institute for Conservation, Sustainable Solutions, LLC, and the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, LandServer has been launched online! LandServer data is currently available for Maryland and Delaware. Plans are set to make data from the remaining Chesapeake Bay states live by the end of Summer 2010. LandServer is a free, online, conservation assessment tool. Agricultural producers, private landowners, and property managers will find it very useful in planning for land management. LandServer also enables non-profit organizations, governments, and corporations to further their natural resource objectives by targeting landowners and operators willing to implement conservation actions. LandServer provides landowners with a quick and easy evaluation of their property's potential to receive payments through ecoysystem markets and traditional conservation programs. LandServer furthers conservation objectives by enabling working, conservation, suburban, and orther rural lands to implement land practicies that enhance and sustain ecosystem services. By opening a private LandServer online account, you can generate a conservation report about the valuable ecosystem services and other natural resource benefits provided on your land. To learn more about LandServer, its unique collaboration of partners, and create an account, visit www.landserver.org. Remember that LandServer is currently in its Beta form, and comments and suggestions can always be sent to its administrators to continually improve LandServer's services. © Copyright 2010 by Southern Maryland RC&D Top of Page
