The Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department and Southern Maryland RC&D worked together to install a dry hydrant at the Delozier property in Leonardtown.

2007 Southern Maryland Science Fairs - Feb 4, 2007 - 11:35:26 AM
Every year the Southern Maryland RC&D Board, Inc. sponsors special awards for conservation and agriculture at the science fairs in Calvert, Charles and St. Mary's Counties. This year Board Member Olga Walter, RC&D Coordinator Jeremy West and volunteer Elise deRiel served as judges and recognized our talented students.

Goose Creek Volunteers - Jan 9, 2007 - 7:45:21 PM
Working closely with Pax River Naval Air Station natural resources staff and St. Mary's County Soil Conservation District, Southern Maryland RC&D helped to stabilize 2,000 linear feet of eroding shoreline, control 5,000 square feet of invasive fragmities and create 3,000 square feet of tidal marsh habitat.  The project was completed on June 10, 2006.

J. P. Ryon Earth Day Activities - Jan 9, 2007 - 12:15:18 PM
On Earth Day 2004 the students and faculty of J. P. Ryon Middle School in Waldorf and Southern Maryland RC&D planted trees in the schoolyard.
