

Caroline King
Program Manager
Caroline King is Southern Maryland RC&D’s Program Manager for land preservation, working closely with St. Mary’s County’s staff, Maryland’s Rural Legacy Program team, and the Navy’s REPI Program team. A lifelong Marylander, she attended the University of Maryland to study natural resources management and the University of Baltimore School of Law, focusing on government and public service law. Her experience includes serving as an appellate judicial law clerk and practicing law in the NAVAIR Office of Counsel at Pax River. After the first of her three children was born, Caroline spent several years writing and editing for a local magazine. She continues to serve on various boards and committees, including the St. Mary’s County Planning Commission, and volunteers as a Maryland Master Naturalist.
