Ryan Poe

Ryan is a Maryland native and longtime Eastern Shore resident. He joined Southern Maryland RC&D in July 2017 as a Soil Conservation Technician for the Lower Shore. Before starting with Southern Maryland RC&D, he earned a Bachelor of Science, Biology degree from Salisbury University, did easement monitoring work with the Lower Shore Land Trust, and was the Greenhouse Manager at a family owned garden center in Salisbury, MD. Ryan serves on the Town of Delmar Parks and Recreation Commission and as Secretary for the Lower Shore Progressive Caucus. He has tended a vegetable garden since 2002 and thoroughly enjoys spending time outdoors. His other interests include live music, table top and role playing games, literature and art in a variety of media.
